OuR Mission

Whole Body Wellness was created out of the desire to fulfill two goals:

1. Provide comprehensive & compassionate chiropractic and lactation counseling for the benefit of the patient’s overall wellness

2. Create a business that allows me to engage in a career I love, while continuing to stay home with my young children.

To fulfill these goals, I have structured my office differently than other chiropractic or lactation counseling offices. As a patient, you will experience longer appointment times to facilitate a slow, gentle adjustment and allow us to discuss other aspects of your health and wellness - such as stress management and nutrition. Additionally, when you call or text the office phone, I will personally respond within 1 business day - as I am a full time stay at home mom outside of the office’s hours.

Meet Dr. Eliza

Dr. Eliza grew up in Delmar and moved to Maquoketa as a teenager. She graduated from Clinton Community College with an Associate’s Degree, receiving High Honors. Her undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, graduating Magna Cum Laude and as a Presidential Scholar. Dr. Eliza then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic as Valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude; she received the Academic Excellence Award at graduation. During her time at Palmer, Dr. Eliza also completed the training to become a Certified Lactation Counselor.

Outside of the office, Dr. Eliza is the proud mama of Evelyn (age 3) and Isla (age 1). She is joyfully married to Jacob, who is an Industrial Electrician. Their family moved to DeWitt in 2023 and enjoys walking to the library and park.

As a new chiropractic patient, your first visit will include a detailed health history and examination, discussion of how chiropractic care could benefit you, and an adjustment structured with your unique conditions and preferences in mind.

My technique includes gentler adjustment methods that incorporate a drop table and instrument assisted adjustments.

Lactation Counseling

Breastfeeding parents can find support through all stages of feeding a young child via private lactation counseling appointments and group classes held in person or virtually.

Common concerns that parents and caregivers seek help for include how to use a breast pump, difficult or painful latch, introducing a bottle, and how to stop breastfeeding at any age.
